Hello, my name is Sammy Jo Brooks and I'm a 24 year old Highland dancer from Corby, Northamptonshire.
I dance with a local dance school, Lesley school of Highland dancing. I started dancing when I was 14 years old which is a lot older than most dancers would start. I have competed all around the UK and won many medals and trophies along the way.
I have danced at many shows and tattoos including one in Sweden and also the Birmingham military tattoo which took place at the Barclay card arena with over 10,000 people watching.
I done this tattoo 2 years in a row. I have enjoyed dancing but I recently took a 2 year break due to work commitments. I have now gone back to dancing and looking forward to competing in many more competitions.
The two things I love most about dancing is the places you can visit and also the friends for life you make.
I have been with the same dance school for the whole 10 years and seen dancers go and New ones join. Currently we have a range of ages between 4 and 24, me being the oldest
