Hi everyone!
My name is Eilidh McTaggart and I am 8 years old(about to turn 9 in 6 days)
I thought I would write a blog for you all to keep up to date with all my dancing exploits.
I live on a wee island called Bute which is on the west coast of Scotland and I dance at Anne McIlroy School of Highland Dance. Miss Anne has been teaching dancing for an incredible 61 years!!!!.
I have been dancing since I was 4 and I now dance at novice level but will be moving up to intermediate in March.
My favourite dance is the Reel. I like the Reel because you get to dance with different people.
I like dancing because it keeps you fit and lots of my friends go including my best friend Summer.
I dance in a red white and blue kilt, which really pleases my dad lol, and my National outfit is Dress Arisaig in purple.
I like to use pumps from Highland World but I've also used toe and heel ones and Thistle ones.
My dancing hero is 
Marielle Lesperance and I have been lucky enough to meet her twice!
This year I won at Bute Games but the best was winning at Cowal!!!
I luv to wear The Highland Dancer hoodie and soft shell jacket when I go away to competitions and Highland Games.
My mum and dad are the best as my mum practices with me all the time and my poor dad is the taxi driver lol
My wee brother Ashton who comes to all competitions with me has now decided to take up dancing too so I'll soon have someone to practice with.
Well I hope you all like my introduction and I will be keeping you all up to date with what I get up to in the coming months
