Hi,

Here is my latest blog covering a busy weekend of Highland Games.

On Friday I went with my friend Rianne to Assynt Highland Games at Lochinver, we travelled by car which took about 2 hours.  When we got to the games they had decided to move the dancing in door due to the bad weather.  It is nice if the weather is bad to be indoors, but I do miss being outdoors and part of the games.  My group was a 12 & Under Premier with 8 dancers.  I got all 3rds.  We stopped at Ullapool for a fish supper on the way home which is always nice after a games.

On Saturday I went to Nethy Bridge Highland Games, I haven't been there for a couple of years so it was nice to go back.  I went through with friends Imogen & Chloe.  My group for Nethy was a 12 years Premier with 5 dancers.  I got four 1sts and one 2nd so won the group.  After the dancing we had time to spend at the games with friends from my, and other dance schools, its great to catch up and have some fun.  A group of us then went to a hotel in Aviemore for dinner which was lovely.

Sunday was my next games which was Keith Show.  The weather was awful, wet and cold.  I was through with Rianne and Chloe this time.  My group was 12s & 13s Premier with 14 dancers. I got two 1sts and three 2nds, it was so cold dancing that I couldn't feel my feet!  Again after the dancing I spent time with friends going on the rides before heading home shattered.

I love dancing at the games and enjoy that we get to dance Jig & Hornpipe quite often, I love getting to dance the Jig, having chance to meet and have fun with other dancers. 😊
