Merry Christmas!
Can you believe it, another year has blown by? My parents always say how fast time goes, and when I look back on this year, I finally understand why they say that.
This year has been great. Was a big year for me, as I started High School, so moved into a whole new phase of life, and so far, I’m really enjoying it. 2019 has been full of laughter, fun, family, friends and hard work. Our TeamHD grew, and I’ve really enjoyed learning all about the new members in our team. Now, our team is literally all over the world, hopefully there will be a day that we all can come together. I hope all you new team members have enjoyed working with us this year, and for many more to come.
As with every year, dancing has been busy. Competitions, classes, private events, Christmas Show and dancing at my Aunties wedding. I’m lucky to be given different opportunities to dance, other than classes and competitions. My favourite competitions this year has been Portree and Nethy, as always, and of course, our own. Being in Portree means I get to spend the weekend in my family home. The competition always runs smoothly and you really feel a sense of our dancing community. Nethy has always been a favourite, as I’m sure I’ve said before. If you’ve never been, definitely try this year. Always such fun, and usually super lucky with the weather.
This year, at almost every competition, I can hear people saying “that’s the girl from The Highland Dancer”. Don’t be so shy guys, if you see me, come and ask for some free merch. I’ve usually got a bag full of stickers, pens and decals. And, it’s a chance for you to get a photo featured on our website!

I’M DANCING IN HAWAII!!!!
Literally a dream come true, and I feel so lucky to be given this opportunity. Thanks to being sponsored by the most wonderful people, I will get to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. I will be doing a full blog on our Hawaii plans in the New Year and will of course blog the whole trip. I may even try and figure out how to vlog it, if that’s something you would like to see.
