My first Blog from Lily Davies age 4 from Dunoon for The Highland Dancer

My first Blog from Lily Davies from Dunoon.....and a little help from Mummy too!

My name is Lily and i come from a Town called Dunoon. I have lived here all of my life and i have just started primary 1 at Kirn Primary school

I have been dancing for nearly 2 years, i was always around dancing when i was a baby and i can still fall asleep to the bag pipes! Even at long competitions!!! My Auntie was a highland dancer too so I've grown up around it.

What dance pumps do i wear?
I wear Billy Forsyth Originalz as they give me really pointy toes!! I only have to grow my feet 1 more shoe size and i can finally get some Pink Billy Forsyth Colourz!!

Favourite dance?
My favourite dance is actually the Seann Truibhas even though haven't fully learned it yet, I also love doing the sword dance...I have finally mastered turning the right way, I've still got lots to learn but that's ok.

Dance i struggle with?

Because I'm so small i sometimes go a little too fast in my turns for the fling....I'm practicing lots to make me better.

My dance Idol?

It has to be Meagan Sweeney from Ontario, I met her last year and we had a photo as we wear the same tartan, I met her again this year, she was so lovely and I'm glad she won a nice trophy at Cowal. Fav Comp?

I loved doing Inveraray Games as it was so lovely and sunny... Maybe it was the sunshine but that day I got Gold and Silver so we were all so happy...I'm sure mum had a tear in her eye!! I got a big candy floss after that

How old was i when i started?

I started when i turned 3, so I have been going for nearly 2 years.

What class do i attend?

I attend the Christina Cairns school of Dance in Dunoon, I go 3 times a week and I absolutely love Tina, and all my friends at dancing...we feel like a big family.

How many medals do i have?

I now have over 40 medals, I have 5 golds in that..I get so excited no matter what medals I get..Mum has them all on display just now in my hallway I hope I can win a trophy one day

What tartan do i wear?

I wear the Green Milne tartan, its a very tiny little outfit....I love wearing the green, i also love the pink too.

I also have a lot of other hobbies but one of my favourites is playing football, I have 2 big brothers so mum blames them! But its nice to be able to play football and dancing asvwell! I also like to go horse riding too, we only do that sometimes when its not raining!!! I like running about with my dog Indy too, hes my best friend.
