HD's Blogger Sophie looks back over Aug/Sept

Hello everyone sorry I haven’t been posting because I’ve had a busy month, I am getting caught up now so here is my August/September blog

In August I went to the Commonweath championship in Stirling where I had about 38 in my group. I came 4th overall and I was super happy Also that day I met my Canadian friend Kaitlyn that I hadn’t seen in a year. Kaitlyn and I met last year when we were teamed together in Canada for a Broadswords competition (which we won). I was so happy to have seen her and we had a little catch up and a lovely lunch together.

Cowal 2019

Cowal 2019 was absolutely amazing I had such a great time On Thursday I got 4 championship points and I was really happy with getting a placing in every dance. Then on the Friday I was 4th overall in the lineup and I was super super happy
It then sadly came to the last day and I had an amazing time watching all the finalists compete. I would like to say a massive congratulations to the three world champions, Rosey Watt, Beret Dernbach and Marielle Lesperance you all did amazing

I had an amazing time with dancing friends both at Cowal and afterwards at the Caravan park we had lots of fun and laughs and I wish I could do it all again looking forward to next year already!

A few weeks ago I danced at Braemar Highland gathering. It was very cold at the start but then it turned out to be a very nice day️I was so shocked when I heard that I had gotten into Braemar as I knew I would be in a very hard group full of amazing dancers I never got any placing but I was still very happy with my dancing and I had a great day with friends and had amazing strawberry’s and cream and of course got to see the queen.

I love dancing at Braemar and hope to do it again in the future.
